Rizwan captured seven wickets for 58 runs against Mirpurkhas who were skittled out for 164 in 54 overs at Makli Stadium. When stumps were drawn for the day, Thatta had reached 121 for five.

Ali Ahmad hammered a fine 107 during his 192-minute vigil at the crease against Naseerabad at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium. The opener struck nine boundaries in his 149-ball knock and featured in a 115-run first wicket stand with Aqil Baloch (64, 4x4, 1x6) to proper Quetta to a colossal 324 for seven in 65 overs.

At stumps, Naseerabad were reeling at 102 for seven with innings defeat staring right at them.

The second century of the day came from the willow of Kalat's Abdul Hameed who stroked an unbeaten 123 to lift his team to 182 for six against Turbat at the National Stadium. Hameed's 113-ball innings spanning over two hours contained 20 hits to the fence.

Afghanistan showed mark improvement in their cricket when paceman Allah Dad recorded figures of 18.3-4-53-6 to bowl out Swat for 198 in 62.3 overs at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar. The visitors had reached 63 for four from 30 overs at close of play.
