Kiwis 0-35 in big run chase against ACT Eleven
AAP - 22 October 2001

New Zealand has dawdled to no wicket for 35 at tea on the second day of the cricket tour match against the ACT President's Eleven at Manuka Oval in Canberra.

After 17 overs and at tea, Kiwi openers Matthew Bell and Mark Richardson were both on 17 not out.

Earlier, the invitation team made six declared for 439.

New Zealand will be without Daniel Vettori in its line-up after the Test spinner injured his ankle in a bowling mishap yesterday.

Kiwi manager Jeff Crowe says Vettori is scheduled to have an MRI scan on his right ankle later this afternoon and more would be known of his future then.

Vettori briefly visited his team mates at the ground today but was still in pain and unable to walk on his right leg.
