Zimbabwe v Australia 1999-2000
Wisden CricInfo staff - September 7, 2001

At Harare, October 24. Australia won by nine wickets. Toss: Australia.
A spirited 99 not out from Andy Flower could not prevent Australia from cruising to another nine-wicket victory and a clean sweep in the three-match series. Mark Waugh was rested, but Ponting stepped up to finish his great tour of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe with an unbeaten 87, adding 157 with Bevan. Flower's brave innings was all the more impressive given his lack of support. In 109 balls, he hit seven fours and concluded with two sixes off Symonds in the final over. Steve Waugh had left himself an over short when he bowled out McGrath and Dale, and Symonds's last over cost 20: Flower scored 15 of them. It made little difference as Australia coasted home with 11 overs in hand.
Man of the Match: A. Flower.
