Close - Zimbabwe 154 for 2 (Masakadza 2*, Carlisle 0*)
The second day at Bulawayo was washed out by over 15 hours and counting of torrential rain. This might yet prove to be the most exciting part of the match. Yesterday Zimbabwe crawled their way to 154 for 2, thanks to 77 from Alistair Campbell and 71 from Dion Ebrahim. Together they smashed the previous Zimbabwe record for a first-wicket stand against South Africa, 13, by putting on 152. However the speed that they scored at - 1.79 runs an over, made for painful viewing. South Africa struck back in a 25-minute burst at the end of the day. Lance Klusener out-bored Campbell and Claude Henderson snaffled an edgy Ebrahim.
