Kent announce new membership rate and deals
Media Release - 5 September 2001

Kent County Cricket Club today took the innovative step of announcing its 2002 membership rates while the current season is still in progress. This coincides with the launch of a new joint marketing initiative with the Saga Group which will offer enhanced services to current and future Kent members.

Commenting on this announcement, Jon Fordham, Kent County Cricket Club's Head of Marketing, said: "We are already looking to build on this season's success on the pitch by encouraging our existing members to renew early for next season and by launching a new membership recruitment campaign. Our marketing initiative with Saga will enable us to continue to improve our services to members, whilst playing a vital role in our efforts to recruit new ones.

"Our existing members who change to paying their annual subscription by direct debit will qualify for a five per cent discount if they renew by 31 October and any member introducing a new member to the Club, at any time, will be eligible for a ten per cent discount.

"This is an exciting time for Kent cricket and an ideal opportunity to bring the considerable benefits of membership of Kent County Cricket Club to the attention of as wide an audience as possible."

Tim Bull, Strategic Planning Director for Saga, said: "Kent County Cricket Club is right on our doorstep and its membership has many parallels to our customer base. We see this as a marketing opportunity as well as a chance to provide direct support to the development of our county cricket club."
