PCB Chairman condoles death of ex-chairman I.A. Khan
Pakistan Cricket Board - 7 September 2001

Chairman PCB, Lt Gen Tauqir Zia, on Friday condoled the death of former Chairman of Cricket Board I.A. Khan who had earlier passed away in Karachi.

In a message addressed to Asad I.A. Khan, the eldest son, he said "I am sorry to learn of the sudden passing away of your father, a distinguished former civil servant and Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, in Karachi.

A person of exceptional qualities, who renedered meritorious services in cricket and civil service, he played a prominent role in stewarding the Cricket Board as its Chairman in the period 1969-72. He had been associated with cricket affairs right from the early days of the formation of an official body, in various capacities evincing keen personal interest in the evolution of the game in the country.

On behalf of all my colleagues and cricket fraternity as well as on my own behalf please accept our most sincere and deep condolence to you and other members of the family on this great loss."
