HKCA Ernest Maude Saturday League to get underway?!

HKCA is pleased to announce that once again the premier financial planning company Ernest Maude Continental Investments will be sponsoring the Saturday League for the 2001-02 season. Thank you to Chris Agar and Brad Tarr at Ernest Maude for your continuing support of Hong Kong league cricket.

The HKCA Saturday League is scheduled to get underway this weekend, but with the rain gods working overtime lately it's doubtless going to be difficult for many, matches to go ahead. Captains are reminded that, in the absence of on site ground authorities it is their responsibility to make the decision as to whether to proceed with the match. Wherever you'll be playing this season in your attempts to take KCC Tartars title good luck and play with a straight bat!

Clubs' XI vs Independents' XI challenge match for the Tony Turner Trophy, 9th September, Mission Rd

The best eleven players HKCC and KCC can muster will take on the best of the Independent teams this Sunday 9th September at Mission Road (note change of venue due to the weather) for the Tony Turner Trophy (formerly the Platypus Cup). This is the second time this prestigious match will have been played, with the Independents XI being the current holders of the title following a cracking match last year at KCC. Both teams are packed with talent in what promises to be a great contest as the curtain-raiser for the Sunday League which is due to start next week. The selected teams:
