Australian cricket captain Steve Waugh has become a father for the third time.

Waugh's wife Lynette today gave birth to Lillian Mary Opal Waugh, a sister to Rosalie and Austin. Lillian was born a day earlier than expected after a short labour.

She weighed in at six pounds and eight ounces and 48 centimetres long.
