The draw has today been announced for the first round of the CCA Early Season Knockout Competition, to be played over the Sundays during October. The first round will be played on Sunday 7th October with games starting at 12pm.

Thirteen teams have entered this summers knockout competition with representation coming from the Christchurch Senior teams, the Christchurch Suburban Rep side, Mid Canterbury and the Sefton Club from Canterbury Country.

Riccarton are the defending Champions and have in fact won the competition for the last four seasons in a row. The competition provides teams with valuable early season matches, as well as providing some younger less experienced players the chance to gain experience at a higher level. The draw for the first round is as follows:

Riccarton v Sydenham - Hagley 3
LPW 1 v HSOB - Garrick 1
Sefton v BWU - Sefton Domain
Marist v East Shirley - Warren 1
St Albans v Mid Canterbury - Hagley 1

Suburban - Bye
LPW 2 - Bye
OC - Bye
