The Zimbabwe Cricket Union held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 12 September.

Having confirmed the amendments to the Constitution and in accordance with those amendments the new Board of Directors was elected. The Directors elected are as follows:

S Cochrane  Z Rusike
K Connelly  N Todd
M Dudhia    R Whiley

In terms of the amendments to the constitution the former Chief Executive becomes the Managing Director which position is held by Mr. D Ellman-Brown.

At the meeting of the Board held after the Annual General Meeting the Directors appointed Mr. PF Chingoka as Chairman and Justice A Ebrahim as Vice-Chairman. The first Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday 26 September where the Board will ascertain policies for the year and appoint the various committee chairmen.

In the meantime the Board confirmed that the existing selectors being Mr. I Butchart – Conveyor, Mr. M Dudhia, Mr. D Lake, Mr. A Shah, Mr. S Mangongo, together with the Captain and Coach would continue to select the necessary teams for the completion of the South Africa Tour and the England Tour to Zimbabwe in October.

At the Board's meeting on 26 September the new Selection Committee will be appointed to take place after the tour by England. At that meeting the Directors will confirm the Captain and Vice-Captain for the year.

To ensure that there is no disruption to the smooth day to day running of cricket in Zimbabwe, the following Committees will continue to operate as before. These Committees and their Chairman are as follows:

Coaching Committee - Justice A Ebrahim
Junior Committee - Mr. C Barnes
Facilities Committee - Mr. M Dudhia
Special Facilities Committee - Mr. D Everington
Tours Committee - Mr. D Stannard
