Only 13 overs possible in women's matches
Lynn McConnell - 20 January 2002

An inconclusive round of games in the State Women's League was completed today with rain creating more havoc in Masterton and Wellington.

No play was possible at all in Masterton where seepage through the covers caused no play yesterday while there was a start made for the second day in succession in Petone, only for the rain to force a later abandonment.

In the play possible, Auckland were sent in to bat by Wellington and scored 47/1 in 13 overs. Rebecca Rolls scored 18 before falling to Jane Hunter-Siu while Michelle Lynch was 18 not out and Emily Drumm one not out.

Hunter-Siu had one for 15 from her four overs, which included seven wides, five of them from the one incident.

In tomorrow's games, the Central Districts-Auckland game has been transferred to Waikanae Domain and Wellington will host Northern Districts.
