Jehan Mubarak
Wisden CricInfo staff - July 29, 2002

Wisden overview
A graceful lefthander whose game revolves around timing, Jehan Mubarak has the air of a Sri Lankan David Gower. Like Gower, he plays the game as though it was his birthright, and after representing his country at U15, U17 and U19 level, maybe it is. Born in Washington DC, Mubarak returned to Sri Lanka to attend Royal College, Colombo, where the annual Blues match against St Thomas's is as much of a fixture on the social calendar as Eton and Harrow used to be in England. Test cricket was an inevitability for Mubarak, even if his debut came for a second-string outfit against Bangladesh in 2002. In addition, he is a useful offspinner and an excellent fielder.
