Zimbabwe's biggest win against India

The six-wicket win was Zimbabwe's eighth over India in 39 matches. It was also their most comprehensive, improving on the 38 run victory at Harare on 30-9-1998. Zimbabwe's other two wins while batting second were both by one wicket - at Jodhpur in December 2000 and in the first match of the series at Faridabad a week ago.
India's total of 191 in 48.3 overs was their second lowest against Zimbabwe in one-dayers. The lowest still remains 168 (43.5 overs) at Bulawayo in February 1997. Incidentally, Zimbabwe bowled out India for the first time at home. They had lost eight wickets at Jodhpur on in December 2000, though they managed to score 283 runs. Another matter that they still lost the match.
Alistair Campbell (when he got to 60) became the third Zimbabwean and the 35th batsman to reach 5000 runs in ODIs. It was his 175th match and 171st innings.
Since making his one-day debut against Sri Lanka at New Plymouth during the 1992 World Cup, Andy Flower was missing only his fifth match for Zimbabwe. Subsequently, his team has played in 198 ODI matches; that means that he has appeared in 97.47% of the matches played by his country since. Incidentally this was Zimbabwe's first victory since 1992 without Flower in the side.
Douglas Hondo - who went wicketless in two matches against England at home in October 2001 - claimed his first wicket by trapping Dinesh Mongia leg before. His figures of 4 for 37 were the best by a Zimbabwe bowler in India. The previous best was Grant Flower's 3 for 43 at Jodhpur in December 2000.
Hondo's figures were also the best by a visiting bowler at Kochi. Australian Michael Kasprowicz had the previous best, 3 for 50, in April 1998.
