Three more signings at Grace Road
Leicestershire CCC - 20 November 2002

Leicestershire have signed three more players to bolster their squad for next season.

They have taken on John Maunders and John Sadler who are both top order left-hand batsmen and 25-year-old left arm spinner Rupesh Amin who has been released by Surrey.

Maunders and Sadler are both 21 and have represented England at Under 19 level. Maunders, who was on the staff at Middlesex, played a few matches for Leicestershire's second team at the end of last season and impressed enough to be offered a contract. Sadler has been released by Yorkshire.

Amin has found it difficult to break into a Surrey team which includes Saqlain Mushtaq and Ian Salisbury and has jumped at the chance to make a fresh start at Leicestershire.

Kevin Hill, Leicestershire's general manager said: "All three players join us with reputations of determination and quality and we are delighted to have signed them. They will all be battling for places in the first team and will add strength to the sqauad."
