Redbacks vs Bushrangers trial game cancelled

The Southern Redbacks vs Victorian Bushrangers trial one day match scheduled
for Friday, October 11, 2002 has been cancelled.
The decision was made to ensure the Adelaide Oval pitch is ready for the
first Pura Cup game of the season, on October 15.
Mr Harvey Jolly, Cricket Operations Manager, said the South Australian squad
has had an exceptional pre-season, with more centre wicket practice time
than in past seasons.
"The players have been working hard during the pre-season and have had about
three extra weeks of practice time on centre wickets on Adelaide Oval no. 2.
This takes the team into the season in very good shape.
With the last football match played just over a week ago, we decided that
the Adelaide Oval centre wickets needed a few more days of preparation time
to be in perfect condition for the first Pura Cup game next week," he said.
