Oxford 2000 festival
Welcome to Oxford 2000, a one-off festival which is the brainchild of Geoffrey Hartley and organised by The Cricketer International with the support of CricInfo.com. Its purpose is to celebrate everything that Wandering Cricket has championed in the twentieth century.

CricInfo is delighted to be supporting Oxford 2000, and will be providing regular updates on the progress of each of the games. The world’s leading cricket website reaches 15 million people around the world who share Cricinfo’s passion for all that is cricket.

The games at Oxford 2000 will be played to declaration on selected school and university grounds in and around Oxford. There will be no overall winner. The aim is simply to provide the perfect setting for cricket played in the best spirit of the game, and to have a lot of fun doing it!

The HQ will be at Keble College, where there will be drinks parties, celebrations, a cricket revue performed by Stage CC, buffet suppers in Hall, and the Oxford 2000 dinner for 300 past and present wandering cricketers on Thursday 10th August.

Any proceeds will go to the Lord’s Taverners who give handicapped children a sporting chance. There will be a commemorative programme carrying advertising.
